Sample Day
Daily Schedules vary a bit from room to room, but generally, a day proceeds as follows:
8:45am-9:00am 9:00 - 9:25 |
Morning Carpool Arrival Greetings, Informal conversation. Table activities and hand washing and free play |
9:25-9:40 | Circle time 1 with interactive songs, calendar, and weather. |
9:40 - 10:00 | Judaic theme related activity- dramatic play, sensory exploration, music, stories and games to introduce the theme and its concepts. |
10:00-10:20 | Snack time includes hand washing |
10:20-11:00 |
Project time: opportunities for children to choose between 2 or 3 projects to further explore the theme and sharpen specific skills. Projects are done with one or two children at a time. Discovery time: Free choice among a variety of activities in the learning centers: literacy, reading, writing/listening, manipulatives, dramatic, cooking, science, sand/water, music, etc. |
11:05-11:15 | Clean up |
11:15-11:30 | Circle Time 2- storytime read alouds, group movement, teacher led exploration with manipulatives |
11:30-12:10 | Active play (indoors or outdoors) Use of equipment & games. |
12:10-12:45 | Washing hands, Lunch and Conversation. |
12:45 - 1:00 | Discussion of the day’s activities and planning for the next day. Preparation for carpool for part day students. |
